District Newsletter

April 2026

April 1, 2026

Dear Holy Hill Area School District Families,

If your house looks anything like mine right now, Spring Break has brought a mix of suitcases, snacks, sleeping in (for some), and a much needed change of pace.

As this message reaches you, I hope your family is finding time to rest, recharge, and enjoy a break from the usual routines. In our family, this time is always a blend of adventure and a reset. It is a chance to slow down, laugh a little more, and spend time together without the usual rush. It is also a great reminder to unplug a bit with less screen time, more connection, and maybe even some fresh air (even if Wisconsin weather keeps us guessing!!!). If you are looking for something simple to try, consider choosing one hour each day to unplug. No phones, no devices, just time to connect, laugh, and enjoy being together.

At HHASD, we believe in perseverance and part of that is knowing when to pause and refuel so we can finish strong. When we return, we will head into the final stretch of the school year with continued learning, growth, and celebrations ahead. We are so proud of our students and grateful for your partnership.

Enjoy these days. We look forward to welcoming everyone back recharged and ready to finish the year strong!!!

Together We Can,
Dr. Katy Williams
Superintendent
Holy Hill Area School District

Open Enrollment for 2026-2027

The Public school open enrollment program in Wisconsin allows parents to apply for their children to attend a public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. The regular open enrollment application period for the 2026-2027 school year begins on February 2, 2026, and ends at 4:00 pm on April 30, 2026. The best way to apply is online, the online application is available at https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment during the application period.

The Holy Hill Area School District will review all Open Enrollment applications received during the application period and approve applications within grade levels that have approved open seat availability. These decisions are based on the Holy Hill Area School Board approved number of seats available as determined at the January 19, 2026 school board meeting for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Partnership with Clinical Psychlogy Associates

The Holy Hill Area School District is proud to have a new clinical mental health counselor begin working within our district.

We are so excited to introduce Stacey Ellison (MS, LPC). Stacey received her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and is a licensed professional counselor. Prior to her career in mental health, Stacey was an educator for over ten years, which equipped her with a strong knowledge of childhood development and the ability to connect with youths. Stacey has experience working with children and adolescents with various concerns related to mental health and behavior including ADHD, anger, anxiety, attachment issues, depression, and trauma. Stacey’s approach to counseling is warm and centered on the child/adolescent. She incorporates both play therapy and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) techniques in order to assist young people in learning and practicing emotional regulation skills.

If you would like to have your child work with Stacey please feel free to email her at staceyellisoncounselingservicesllc@clinical-psychology-associates.com or call her at (262) 251-1112 x744. She will begin to see students within the district beginning the week of March 2, 2026.

Ted Neitzke, CESA 6 CEO, joined virtually to present our district with the Distinguished School Engagement Award. Holy Hill Area School District is one of only seven district in the state of Wisconsin to receive this award.

This award is given to school districts that have exceeded 51% employee engagement. Employee engagement is the involvement and enthusiasm of employees in both their work and workplace, measured through Gallup survey. HHASD's engagement score is 57%, well above the national average of 30%.

The impact this level of engagement has will be felt in the coming years as staff retention increases, the attraction of great talent increases, and students increase in their achievement.

Dr. Katy Williams graciously accepted the award on behalf of our entire staff and administrative team.
